Indio moves free summer yoga classes indoors to beat the heat

The City of Indio is bringing its free community yoga class indoors for the summer, helping residents stay active while escaping the heat.

The class takes place tonight at 5:30 p.m. at its new summer location, The Dune Room in downtown Indio. The event is free and open to all ages and all skill levels.

Organizers encourage participants to bring their own yoga mat. A limited number of mats will also be available for those who need to borrow one.

The Dune Room is located along Miles Avenue in downtown Indio. The free yoga series is part of the city's ongoing effort to provide community wellness activities for residents.
