An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Tuesday, July 14, 2026!

Because of the combination of hot weather and high humidity, an Extreme Heat Warning has been posted through Thursday for a large area of Southern California which includes the Coachella Valley.

The Valley will see mostly sunny skies today with dew points in the 60s, middle-of-the-day relative humidity in the 20s and above-normal high temperatures in the one-tweens. And -- with lots of mid-level moisture still in place -- a couple of mountain thunderstorms are a possibility this afternoon.

Mostly sunny and humid on Wednesday with peak temps in the one-tweens.

You can expect additional clouds on Thursday with slightly higher humidity and high temps around 108°.

We'll see mostly cloudy skies on Friday with sticky conditions and the chance of a few mountain t-storms. A few light Valley showers are a possibility. Stay tuned!
