Netflix casting players for $2 million Monopoly competition show

Netflix is turning one of the world's most popular board games into a high-stakes competition series.

The streaming service announced it is developing a new Monopoly competition show scheduled to premiere in fall 2027.

The series will place 12 contestants inside a life-sized Monopoly town square inspired by the classic board game, where they'll compete in challenges for a chance to win a $2 million grand prize.

Netflix is now accepting online applications from people interested in competing on the show. Additional details about the competition and premiere date are expected to be announced closer to the series' debut.
