Talking with Thalia: Local Non-Profit Helps Kids Build Confidence Through Theater

Children's Playtime Productions is inspiring the next generation through affordable theater programs that teach far more than acting. Instructor and Director Richard De Haven shared how the nonprofit organization helps children develop confidence, teamwork, discipline, communication skills, and integrity through acting, improv, and stage productions. With more than 30 years of serving the Coachella Valley, the organization has impacted thousands of students, including annual productions at the McCallum Theatre. Fall classes and productions will be announced soon, and thanks to its nonprofit mission, no child is turned away due to financial hardship.
