An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Wednesday, July 15, 2026!

Because of the hot weather and high humidity, an Extreme Heat Warning has been posted for a large area of Southern California -- including the Coachella Valley -- through Thursday.

Today, the Valley will be under sunny skies -- while surrounded by mountain clouds -- with above-normal high temperatures in the one-tweens.

You can expect mostly sunny skies on Thursday with midday temps just below 110°.

An increase in monsoonal moisture over the Southland on Friday will result in additional clouds along with the chance of mountain thunderstorms. A brief Valley shower is a possibility.

Skies remain mostly cloudy over the weekend with elevated dew points and highs around 105° both afternoons.
