Cathedral City Residents Get Free Admission to Palm Springs Air Museum

Cathedral City residents will have the opportunity to explore one of the Coachella Valley's most popular attractions for free next month.

On Saturday, August 1, residents can receive complimentary admission to the Palm Springs Air Museum by showing proof of Cathedral City residency, such as a driver's license or other valid identification.

Families will have the chance to get up close to historic military aircraft, explore interactive exhibits and learn more about the history of aviation and military service.

The museum is home to one of the nation's largest collections of flying World War II aircraft, along with planes from the Korean War, Vietnam War and other eras of aviation history.

Museum officials say the event is designed to give local families an opportunity to experience the collection while celebrating the community's connection to aviation history.

For residents looking for an affordable summer outing, organizers say it is a great opportunity to bring the family, host visiting friends or simply spend the day exploring one of the desert's most unique attractions.
