Average Riverside County Gas Price Rises 2.9 Cents Per Gallon

RIVERSIDE (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular
gasoline in Riverside County rose 2.9 cents today to $5.283, one day after a
run of three decreases in four days totaling 1.5 cents ended with an increase
of 1.9 cents.
  

The average price is 5.4 cents more than one week ago, 27.5 cents less
than one month ago and 92.6 cents higher than one year ago, according to
figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service
  

The average price has increased 73.2 cents since the start of the
joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which sent oil prices higher and
drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.
  

The national average price recorded its largest increase since May 6,
rising 5.3 cents to $3.943, one day after a four-day streak of decreases
totaling 2.5 cents ended with an increase of 3.1 cents. It is 9.7 cents more
than one week ago, 10.1 cents less than one month ago and 78.3 cents higher
than one year ago.
  

The national average price has increased 96.1 cents since the attack
on Iran.
