Coachella Valley-Based BuzzBox Expands Nationwide With Distribution Deal

A Coachella Valley company is celebrating a major milestone after landing a nationwide distribution deal.

Indio-based BuzzBox, known for its ready-to-drink premium cocktails packaged in plant-based pouches, has partnered with Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits to expand its products across the country.

Founder and CEO Rod Vanden Boss said the idea for BuzzBox came from frustrating experiences at music festivals, where he saw a need for better-quality portable cocktails.

The company began in a small facility in Palm Desert before expanding to its current manufacturing operation in Indio. Vanden Boss said staying in the Coachella Valley was an easy decision because of the community's support and his deep local roots.

Sustainability has remained a core part of BuzzBox's mission. The company's lightweight, plant-based packaging reduces shipping needs compared to traditional aluminum cans, helping lower transportation demands and environmental impact.

BuzzBox products are already available at local grocery stores and casinos, and with its new nationwide distribution agreement, the company is preparing for its next phase of growth. Vanden Boss says international expansion is also part of the company's long-term vision.
