Dust Storms, Strong Winds and Flood Advisory Impact Coachella Valley

The weather has taken a dramatic turn across the Coachella Valley, making it tonight’s top story.

Strong winds pushed heavy dust through several communities, including Palm Desert, Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage, and Indio, creating reduced visibility and difficult driving conditions.

The National Weather Service has also issued a flood advisory through tonight for Palm Desert and parts of Palm Springs.

Drivers are urged to use caution, especially in areas affected by blowing dust, and to remain weather aware as conditions can change quickly.
