Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver After Elderly Woman Seriously Injured in Palm Springs
Palm Springs police are searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run collision that left an 80-year-old woman with serious injuries.
The crash happened at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of Hermosa Drive and Vista Chino.
According to investigators, the woman, a Palm Springs resident, was struck by a white Ford F-150, believed to be an early 2000s model. She was found suffering from major injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told police the driver is believed to be a man in his 60s with a scruffy white beard. Authorities say he briefly stopped after the collision before driving away from the scene.
Investigators are actively searching for the truck and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or captured surveillance or dashcam video in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.

The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to identify the driver and determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
