An NBC Palm Springs Weather Heads-Up on Friday, August 21, 2026!

Because high temperatures will continue to exceed 110° each afternoon into next week, the National Weather Service has extended its Extreme Heat Warning for the Coachella Valley-area through Friday, August 28.

Today, the Valley will be under a mix of Sun and clouds with dew points near 60°, middle-of-the-day relative humidity around 20%, with high temperatures straddling 110°. You can expect lots of one-tweens both afternoons this weekend.

Valley dew points will back-off slightly on Sunday before bouncing back up on Monday.
