Walmart to Use Tariff Refunds for Price Cuts

Walmart says it plans to use some of its nearly $3 billion in tariff refunds to help lower prices for shoppers.

The retailer says some of the refunded money will also support investments aimed at improving the customer experience.

The refunds stem from a February Supreme Court ruling that declared most of Pres. Donald Trump's tariffs illegal.

Walmart isn't the only major retailer planning to use tariff refunds to benefit customers.

Amazon says it also plans to put refund money toward keeping prices low.

Meanwhile, Costco and other retailers are facing lawsuits from shoppers who argue the refunded money should be returned directly to consumers.
