Cabazon man arrested after video appears to show him abusing dog, officials say

A Cabazon man was arrested after a video that surfaced online appeared to show him physically abusing a dog, according to Riverside County Animal Services.

Craig Vincent D’Alessandro was arrested Aug. 13 following an investigation into the video, which first appeared online in July, officials said.

Authorities have warned that the footage may be disturbing or graphic for some viewers.

The two dogs shown in the video are now in the care of Riverside County Animal Services. Officials said the animals are not currently available for adoption.

The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing the evidence and is expected to file felony animal cruelty charges, according to animal services officials.

D’Alessandro is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 28 at the Indio Larson Justice Center.

The investigation remains ongoing.
