Malaysia to Resume Search for Missing Flight MH370 After 10 Years

The search for Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 is set to resume, more than a decade after the aircraft disappeared in what remains one of the greatest mysteries in aviation history. Malaysian Transport Minister Anthony Loke confirmed the decision, emphasizing the importance of finding wreckage to uncover what happened to the ill-fated flight. Flight MH370 vanished on March 8, 2014, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, carrying 227 passengers and 12 crew members. Despite extensive efforts, only scattered debris linked to the aircraft has been discovered over the years. The last search, which ended in 2018, yielded no conclusive findings. This new mission will involve Ocean Infinity, a U.S.-based exploration firm specializing in deep-sea searches. The company has agreed to conduct the search over an 18-month period under a "no cure, no fee" contract. If substantive wreckage is located, Ocean Infinity will receive $70 million. The renewed effort underscores the enduring determination of Malaysian authorities and the global community to provide answers to the families of those lost on MH370. The mission also represents a technological leap in underwater exploration, with Ocean Infinity planning to deploy advanced search equipment to scour vast oceanic depths.
