American Teacher Marc Fogel Freed After 3.5 Years in Russian Prison
Marc Fogel, an American teacher who had been held in a Russian prison for three and a half years, is finally free. Released this morning, Fogel described himself as "the luckiest man on Earth" as he disembarked from a private jet belonging to President Trump’s Middle East envoy. His release was celebrated as a significant moment for Fogel and his family, especially his 95-year-old mother, who was overjoyed to reunite with her son after such a long separation.
Fogel was detained in Russia on charges related to espionage, but his release was made possible through a prisoner exchange. In a public statement, Fogel thanked his supporters and specifically praised President Trump for playing a crucial role in his release, calling the former president a hero.
