Trump Urges Pharmaceutical Companies to Release COVID Drug Data
President Donald Trump is urging pharmaceutical companies to make public their data on COVID drug success rates.
The request comes during a period of growing tension between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
On his Truth Social account, Trump claimed he has seen information from pharmaceutical companies that has not been released to the public, despite some of it being available through other channels. He did not identify the specific data he wants released or name the drugs he was referencing.
The call adds another layer of uncertainty to the ongoing debate over transparency and public trust in federal health agencies. While pharmaceutical companies have published results from certain clinical trials in the past, questions remain about what additional information might still be withheld.
