Ford Relocates World Headquarters for First Time in 70 Years
For the first time in 70 years, Ford is relocating its world headquarters. The new 21-million-square-foot campus is scheduled to open this November, bringing a new chapter for the automaker’s Michigan legacy.
According to Ford, the campus is designed with efficiency and employee experience in mind, placing 14,000 employees within a 15-minute walk of the main building. Among its standout features are six design studios, a 160,000-square-foot food hall, wellness rooms, mother spaces, and more than 300 tech-enabled meeting rooms.
Despite the change, Ford won’t be leaving its long-time home base entirely. The new headquarters is located just a few miles from its current site in Dearborn, Michigan.
A public grand opening celebration is being planned for November in Detroit, where Ford will showcase its state-of-the-art campus and officially welcome employees and visitors into the next phase of its history.
