UK police review Epstein flight records amid trafficking claims tied to London Stansted Airport
Police in the United Kingdom are reviewing new information tied to private flights connected to Jeffrey Epstein following the release of millions of documents from the US Department of Justice.
Authorities say they are assessing records involving flights in and out of London Stansted Airport, after claims surfaced that women may have been trafficked through the airport aboard Epstein’s private aircraft.
The renewed scrutiny follows calls from former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown urging law enforcement to re-examine the evidence. Brown cited emails and documentation that appear to show visas, payments, and travel arrangements involving women and girls transported internationally. He also raised concerns that multiple flights were approved even after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.
Officials at Stansted Airport say private aircraft operate through independent terminals that are separate from the main airport. Immigration and customs checks for those flights are handled by the UK’s Border Force. Airport representatives say they do not manage or monitor passenger arrangements on privately operated aircraft.
Police say Stansted Airport appears in numerous records contained in the document release. Several British law enforcement agencies are now reviewing material or assisting with inquiries. Authorities say evaluating the large volume of evidence and coordinating with international partners could take significant time.
Some investigations also extend beyond Stansted. Bedfordshire Police say they are reviewing information related to private flights involving London Luton Airport. Meanwhile, additional allegations tied to Epstein’s associates are being assessed by multiple police forces.
National policing officials say a coordination group has been formed to support local agencies and work with international law enforcement partners as they evaluate the evidence and determine next steps.
