Despite being a diehard follower of the sport, Carr had to settle for seats in the very last rows of the upper deck just to be inside the building, expressing disappointment that the high costs prevent him from sharing the experience with a larger circle of friends.

For fans who cannot afford stadium admission but still want to experience the electric tournament atmosphere, Kansas City organizers and local sports franchises are launching several large-scale, cost-free alternatives.
Sporting KC is hosting its Soccer Capital Summer Series, which features 10 distinct watch parties planned at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kansas. Additionally, the Kansas City Current has renovated the outdoor plaza area outside CPKC Stadium, inviting fans to gather at the Berkley Riverfront to catch live broadcasts of the matches.
Finally, the official FIFA Fan Fest will take over the grounds at the National World War I Museum and Memorial, promising a massive, lively destination for the public. While these fan fests put on by the KC Current, Sporting KC, and the KC2026 organizing committee are entirely free to attend, organizers note that a complimentary ticket may still be required for entry due to capacity limits.
