Miami-Dade County officials wrapped the perimeter of the facility in yellow police tape while deputies stood guard outside to secure the plaza. The sudden disruption also forced county administrators to temporarily suspend local Metrorail and Metromover transit services while safety inspectors conducted structural assessments before allowing operations to resume later in the evening.
