Video shows train crew surrounded by wildfire in northern Ontario

Dramatic video captured the terrifying moments a Canadian National Railway crew found itself surrounded by a raging wildfire in northern Ontario.

The footage, recorded inside the train near Armstrong, Ontario, shows flames engulfing the treeline just feet from the tracks while smoke and fire illuminate the cab in an orange-red glow. Crew members can be heard urgently communicating over the radio as the wildfire closes in.

At one point, a crew member tells dispatch they are "encased in flames" before checking in with another person over the radio as the train continues moving through the fire.

A spokesperson for CN Railway confirmed the crew was safely evacuated from the area but did not release additional details.

The incident comes as more than 100 wildfires continue burning across northwestern Ontario.
