Bayer Introduces Aspirina to U.S. Market, Connecting with Hispanic Community
Bayer is bringing one of its most trusted brands, Aspirina, to the United States. Aspirina has long been the number one pain relief option in Mexico and the leading brand across Latin America. Now, as the Hispanic community in the U.S. continues to grow, Bayer is making this familiar product available through select retailers, including Walmart and Walgreens.
Dr. Natalia Serrano, Senior Associate Director of Global Media Affairs at Bayer, explained the importance of Aspirina’s arrival. “Data shows that 70 percent of Hispanic consumers feel a strong connection to their country of origin. Many grew up with Bayer’s Aspirina as a trusted brand for their families,” Serrano said. “As the Hispanic population in the U.S. grows — representing 19 percent today and projected to reach 28 percent by 2060 — it’s important to provide them with products that reflect that heritage.”
Aspirina, part of the Bayer family of products, offers over-the-counter relief for headaches, muscle pain, toothaches, menstrual pain, and minor arthritis pain. As a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), it provides fast and effective multi-symptom relief when used as directed for adults and children over the age of 12.
Dr. Serrano emphasized the role of accessible over-the-counter options in healthcare, particularly for communities facing challenges in reaching medical facilities. “Self-care is an important part of overall health, and Aspirina provides comfort and familiarity for many Hispanic families.”
