Jelly Roll to Guest Star on CBS Drama 'Fire Country' as Character with a Past
Country music star Jelly Roll is stepping into the acting spotlight once again—this time with a guest role on the hit CBS drama Fire Country.
Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, will play a character named Noah, a man with a troubled past who’s now trying to turn his life around. In the show, Noah works in health care, a far cry from Jelly Roll’s real-life music career—but the character’s checkered history with the law mirrors aspects of the singer’s own journey of redemption.
The episode is set to air April 11 on CBS.
This marks Jelly Roll’s second scripted TV appearance. He previously appeared as himself in an episode of Tulsa King, starring Sylvester Stallone.

Palm Springs firefighters responded Thursday to a report of a person struck by lightning in the Chino Canyon area. The person was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Firefighters also responded to a palm tree fire in Chino Canyon that officials say was caused by an apparent lightning strike.
