Indio Hosts Free ‘Chela’ Music Event Between Coachella Weekends, HBO Reveals Harry Potter Cast
In this edition of the Agua Caliente Entertainment Report, brought to you by Agua Caliente Casinos, the city of Indio is taking center stage with Chela—a free all-ages music event happening between Coachella’s two major festival weekends.
The event, created in collaboration with Goldenvoice, features artists who are also performing at Coachella. It takes place Wednesday from 6 to 10 p.m. at Center Stage in downtown Indio. Attendees can expect food trucks, a beer garden, and a vibrant evening of music in the heart of the community.
In other entertainment headlines, HBO has unveiled part of the cast for its upcoming Harry Potter TV series. Veteran actor John Lithgow will take on the role of Dumbledore, while Janet McTeer is set to play Professor McGonagall. The series promises to be a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s beloved novels and will stream on Max, although a premiere date has not yet been announced.
Meanwhile, filming in Hollywood and surrounding Los Angeles County has taken a sharp downturn. A new report from Film LA reveals that on-location production fell by 22% in the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same time last year. The decrease affected all major categories—film, television, and commercials—but was not attributed to January’s wildfires, which the report said had minimal impact on filming.
Broadway fans have something to celebrate: Leslie Odom Jr. is set to reprise his role as Aaron Burr in Hamilton. The Tony Award winner will return to the stage September 9 through November 23 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, where the hit musical first premiered nearly a decade ago.
Also trending: Joaquin Phoenix is starring in Ari Aster’s new psychological thriller Eddington, set during the early COVID-19 pandemic. A24 released the film’s first teaser this week ahead of its July 18 theatrical debut.
And finally, the sequel to A Simple Favor—titled Another Simple Favor—drops on Prime Video May 1. The new film stars Anna Kendrick, Blake Lively, Henry Golding, and Allison Janney in what promises to be another darkly comedic ride.

Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery are one step closer to completing their $110 billion merger after a coalition of 12 state attorneys general reached a settlement with Paramount. A high-speed police chase in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, came to a dramatic end when the vehicle plunged into Lake Como. Dashcam video released by police shows the pursuit before the car crashes into the water. Four people inside the vehicle were pulled from the lake with no serious injuries reported.
