Michael B. Jordan Battles Supernatural Evil in Dual Roles for New Thriller Sinners

Set in the Jim Crow-era South, Sinners follows two brothers who return home only to discover a sinister evil overtaking their community. Jordan, known for powerful performances, takes on the unique challenge of playing both siblings. Working with longtime collaborator Ryan Coogler, the actor dove deep into the complexities of portraying twins in a supernatural thriller.
“I started imagining all the different versions of twins I’d seen in movies,” Jordan shared. “I was wondering how we’d make this one stand out. We started vibing, read the script, and I just didn’t want to put it down.”
The cast and crew also highlighted the film’s intense makeup and prosthetics, which helped bring the horror elements to life. “I love horror films and always wondered how prosthetics worked on camera,” Jordan said. “Actually being part of that process—the molding and everything—was crazy.”
The ensemble experienced the film for the first time alongside audiences on the largest IMAX screen in America, describing the event as a moment of immense pride. “I’m so honored to be in it, and seeing it with an audience in IMAX was incredible,” one cast member said.
Sinners* is already creating buzz for its unique blend of supernatural storytelling, historical setting, and standout performances. Michael B. Jordan and the cast hope viewers find both chills and meaning in their haunting new film.

A troubling history is coming to light in a Palm Desert husband’s death. 65-year old Vicky Kim is accused in the death of her husband — but prosecutors say she had previously faced several domestic violence cases involving him. The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office says it had secured protective orders against Kim before a judge later resolved her cases as misdemeanors, released her from custody and terminated those orders. Now, Kim is expected to be arraigned in connection with her husband’s death. Court records allege the weapon used was a flagpole.
