Chappell Roan Leaves Wasserman Agency Amid Epstein-Related Email Revelations
In music news, Chappell Roan is the latest artist to part ways with the Wasserman agency following renewed scrutiny surrounding its founder.
The 27-year-old musician announced her decision after Justice Department documents revealed that Casey Wasserman, the agency’s founder, had exchanged emails with Ghislaine Maxwell, a longtime associate of Jeffrey Epstein. The correspondence dates back to years before Maxwell’s crimes became public.
Roan said she holds her professional team to high standards, a principle that guided her decision to leave the agency. Her departure adds to a growing list of artists and industry figures distancing themselves from Wasserman amid the revelations.
The Justice Department has stated that Wasserman has not been accused of any wrongdoing related to the emails. Still, the disclosures have sparked controversy due to Wasserman’s high-profile role as chair of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games organizing committee.
In recent days, calls have mounted for Wasserman to step down from that position, though no formal action has been announced. The situation continues to draw attention across both the entertainment and sports worlds as questions of accountability and leadership remain in focus.
