An Award-Winning Team Connects The Valley With Local Pregame, In Game, and Post Game Firebirds Coverage
Pivnick is the television and radio voice of the Firebirds, providing the play-by-play for every game. Prior to joining the Firebirds in 2022, Pivnick spent five years with the ECHL’s Adirondack Thunder, where he served as the team’s director of communications and broadcasting. Pivnick is a graduate of Bowling Green State University in Ohio and was the play-by-play voice of the school’s hockey team. During his senior year, Pivnick had the privilege of calling a game with legendary hockey broadcaster Mike “Doc” Emrick. A native of Oceanside, NY, Pivnick credits going to New York Islanders games during his youth at nearby Nassau Coliseum as the sparkplug for his love of hockey.

Grant Fuhr is hockey royalty winning four Stanley Cups in five seasons with the Edmonton Oilers as a goaltender. Fuhr was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003 and also selected by the NHL as one of the 100 greatest NHL Players in history.

Gino LaMont spent 25 years anchoring the news on NBC Palm Springs. In 2022, Gino joined the Coachella Valley Firebirds broadcast team to host 'Hockey Night Coachella Valley' since the club's opening night on December 18, 2022.
