April 23rd brings the sunshine and the silly with a fresh lineup of hashtag holidays and trivia fun, all part of our Hashtag Holiday Calendar and Pop Quiz, brought to you by Inland Empire Health Plan.
First up: National Picnic Day. It’s the perfect time to grab your lunch, head outside, and enjoy the beautiful weather. A picnic and maybe a guitar—what more do you need?
Next on the holiday menu: National English Muffin Day. Did you know that in the UK, they just call them muffins? English muffins date back to Wales in 900 A.D. Whether you like them with butter, jam, or honey, they're a breakfast classic.
And if you're feeling adventurous, it's also National Take a Chance Day—a reminder to break out of your routine and try something new.
Feeling thirsty? It's International German Beer Day, too! Celebrate with a classic like Becks, Doppelbock, or St. Pauli Girl. And for fans of darker brews, Kronbacher might just be your go-to.
To top it all off, we had a “chance”-themed pop quiz. The first question: What number is on Chance the Rapper’s signature cap? If you guessed 3, you’re right! It represents his breakthrough third mixtape, "Coloring Book."
The second trivia question took us back to 1979. In the satirical film Being There, Peter Sellers plays a simple gardener named Chance who, through a series of misunderstandings, becomes a presidential advisor. The answer was A: Being There.

BREAKING: Human remains believed to be those of 17-year-old T’neya Tovar have been discovered at a second site in the Salton City area, according to the Imperial County District Attorney’s Office. A skull and rib cage were found during a search involving Imperial County investigators and the FBI. Testing is still needed to confirm the remains belong to Tovar. The discovery comes one day after suspect Finebloom pleaded guilty to torture and voluntary manslaughter as part of a plea agreement that could result in a sentence of 13 years to life. This afternoon in Salton City, the FBI and Imperial County Sheriff’s Department were in the neighborhood of Abraham Feinbloom. Searching just after a plea deal was made to where Feinbloom agreed to show investigators where the remains of T’Neya Tovar are. Feinbloom pled guilty to one count of torture and voluntary manslaughter. 🌧️ Flash flooding swept across parts of the Coachella Valley overnight, leaving vehicles stranded and roads closed. CHP and emergency crews responded as water, rocks and debris impacted roadways in Indio Hills and along Dillon Road. Drivers in that area are urged to use alternate routes.

Salton city resident Abraham Feinbloom is expected to take a plea deal in the murder case of 17 year old T’Neya Tovar. Under the plea deal obtained by the Imperial County Criminal Courthouse, Feinbloom will plead guilty to one count of torture and voluntary manslaughter. According to court records, he is also expected to assist law enforcement in finding the rest of the victim’s remains.
