Jerry Steffen's Holiday Quiz Gets the Desert Celebrating IPAs and Sea Serpents

While most of us were thinking about the weekend, Jerry revealed that Thursday, August 7th, 2025 is actually packed with celebration-worthy holidays:

National IPA Day kicked off the list, though Jerry had to school his co-hosts on what IPA actually stands for. "India Pale Ale," he explained, before cleverly suggesting locals could call it "Indio Pale Ale" for some Coachella Valley flair. Beer lovers across the desert are encouraged to explore local brewery offerings today.

National Beach Party Day got the desert treatment too. Since we're not exactly oceanfront property, Jerry wisely suggested poolside parties work just fine for our community. "Get the gang together and head to the beach – or pool!" he advised.

For mythology fans, International Sea Serpent Day celebrates legendary creatures from the Kraken to the Loch Ness Monster.

And dessert lovers can indulge guilt-free on National Raspberries and Cream Day – because when isn't it a good day for that combo?
