Cathedral City Hosts Inaugural Small Business Week Workshop This week marks the first-ever Small Business Week in Cathedral City, an event designed to empower local entrepreneurs. On Tuesday, dozens of small business owners from across the Coachella Valley gathered at City Hall for a free educational workshop featuring insights from experts at the federal, state, and local levels. The workshop provided attendees with resources ranging from starting a business to securing funding and accessing mentorship. Representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Coachella Valley Women’s Business Center were among the speakers. Peter Bedard, a Cathedral City mental health practitioner, shared his excitement about the event. “I’m here to learn more about marketing, advertising, and social media to expand my practice. It’s inspiring to see our city supporting small businesses like this,” said Bedard. Organizers emphasized the critical role small businesses play in the local economy. “Small businesses are the heart of our neighborhoods and economy. We want entrepreneurs to know they can turn to Cathedral City for support and resources to grow,” said event officials. Missed this workshop? Cathedral City plans to host more events next year, ensuring ongoing support for small businesses across the Coachella Valley. For details on upcoming events, visit NBCPalmSprings.com.
