Remembering Carolyn Moloshco: A Force in Coachella Valley News

Remembering Carolyn Moloshco: A Force in Coachella Valley News The Coachella Valley recently lost a remarkable figure in local journalism, Carolyn Moloshco. While her name might not have been widely known, her influence behind the scenes at NBC Palm Springs and other stations was profound. A decade ago, Carolyn rejoined NBC Palm Springs as an assignment editor, quickly becoming the driving force of the newsroom. Known for her high standards, she was both demanding and deeply compassionate. Colleagues recall her first question on tough field days: “Are you OK?” – a simple yet impactful gesture that resonated with her care for others. Carolyn’s talent extended beyond newsrooms. She was a prolific writer, contributing to short films and creative projects with the same dedication she brought to journalism. Her ability to challenge and inspire others left a lasting mark, shaping careers and stories alike. Her instinct for news was unparalleled. With her finger firmly on the pulse of the Coachella Valley, she had an extraordinary ability to uncover and tell compelling stories. Carolyn leaves behind her husband and a large extended family, as well as a legacy of excellence and kindness in local media. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
