SunLine Transit Agency Announces January Service Changes
Route 1WV – New Timepoint and Schedule Adjustments
For eastbound passengers, Route 1WV will have a new timepoint stop at Palm Canyon and Baristo, making it more convenient for passengers to transfer to Route 2. This adjustment ensures smoother connections between the two routes, enhancing overall transit experience. Despite the new stop and schedule changes, Route 1WV will continue to operate every 30 minutes, seven days a week.
Route 1EV – Minor Schedule Adjustments
Route 1EV will see a few minor adjustments to its schedule in order to improve the reliability and efficiency of the service. Like Route 1WV, Route 1EV will continue to operate every 30 minutes, seven days a week, ensuring minimal disruption to passengers’ daily routines.
Route 2 – Improved Transfer Opportunities
Route 2 will undergo slight schedule modifications to improve transfer opportunities. These changes will make it easier for passengers to connect to Route 1WV at Indian Canyon and Ramon during northbound trips. Route 2 will continue to operate every 30 minutes, seven days a week, ensuring consistent service across the region.
Route 4 – New Timepoint Stop for Student Transfers
Route 4 will maintain its regular schedule of every 60 minutes, seven days a week. However, a new timepoint stop will be added at Ramon and Sierra del Sol at 3:52 p.m. (weekdays only), allowing students to catch the bus closer to Rancho Mirage High School. This change provides added convenience for local students needing transportation after school.
Route 7 – Earlier Southbound Departures
Route 7 southbound trips will now depart 10 minutes earlier, starting from Harris Lane at Washington Street. This change is designed to accommodate better travel times for passengers heading southbound.
10 Commuter Link – New Indio Transportation Center Stop
A new stop has been added to the 10 Commuter Link route at the Indio Transportation Center on Indio Boulevard. The updated route details are as follows:
Westbound Route:
Indio (Highway 111 at Golf Center Parkway) > Indio Transportation Center > CSUSB (PDC) > Thousand Palms Transit Hub > Beaumont > CSUSB > SBTC
Eastbound Route:
SBTC > CSUSB > Beaumont > Thousand Palms Transit Hub > CSUSB (PDC) > Indio (Highway 111 at Golf Center Parkway) > Indio Transportation Center
The 10 Commuter Link will continue to offer commuters convenient, efficient travel between key locations in the Coachella Valley.
200 Tripper – Earlier Morning Departure
The 200 Tripper service will start one minute earlier, departing from West and Pierson in Desert Hot Springs at 7:29 a.m. This small adjustment helps ensure that the bus runs on schedule for passengers heading out on their morning commute.

A troubling history is coming to light in a Palm Desert husband’s death. 65-year old Vicky Kim is accused in the death of her husband — but prosecutors say she had previously faced several domestic violence cases involving him. The Riverside County District Attorney’s Office says it had secured protective orders against Kim before a judge later resolved her cases as misdemeanors, released her from custody and terminated those orders.
