Modernism Week Continues with Home Tours and Cocktail Parties in Palm Springs
Modernism Week in Palm Springs is continuing to captivate visitors with its 11-day celebration of mid-century modern architecture, art, and culture. One of the major highlights this year is the Vibe House, a historic home that once served as the party hub for the stars. Known for its connection to Jack Steffen Plummer, the home was the go-to venue for lavish gatherings attended by Hollywood legends like Elizabeth Taylor, Hugh Hefner, and Liberace.
Christy, the current owner of the Vibe House, shared the home's rich history during an interview live from Palm Springs. She described the house as a "time capsule," saying that when she and her family first walked in, the energy and vibe of the space immediately drew them in. "It just felt like this was meant to be our home," she explained.
As part of Modernism Week, the Vibe House is opening its doors for the first time ever to host a special cocktail party tonight. The event promises to be a one-of-a-kind gathering, celebrating the home’s legendary past and the continued influence of mid-century modern design. DJ Mod Girl will be spinning tunes, creating the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable night.

A high-speed police chase in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, came to a dramatic end when the vehicle plunged into Lake Como. Dashcam video released by police shows the pursuit before the car crashes into the water. Four people inside the vehicle were pulled from the lake with no serious injuries reported.
