Local and Former Professional Artist Barbi Leifert Inspires Wellness with Yoga and Art Collaboration in Palm Desert
Barbi Leifert, a local artist and former professional dancer, is inspiring others to embrace the powerful connection between movement and creativity through her collaboration with Soul Dive Yoga in Palm Desert. Leifert, who now practices yoga as her main form of movement, channels her artistic expression through both painting and physical activity. Her latest collection, Moving Meditations, is currently on display at Soul Dive Yoga, and it reflects her deep connection to movement, body alignment, and expression.
Leifert's journey from dancer to artist is evident in the fluidity of her artwork, which has deeply resonated with the community. In support of wellness for locals aged 55 and older, Soul Dive Yoga is offering a special program to encourage physical and mental well-being through yoga. “It’s a moment away from the mind and into the body,” said Soul Dive owner Alex Sabag, who has turned the studio into a space that fosters both creative and physical exploration.
Leifert’s mission is simple: to inspire others through movement and art. Her partnership with Soul Dive Yoga and her unique art collection aim to create a space where people of all ages can connect, breathe, and grow. For the Palm Desert community, it’s an opportunity to rejuvenate both body and spirit.
