Celebrating Community: Anniversaries at Roost Lounge and Oscars in Palm Springs
It’s a weekend of celebrations in Cathedral City and Palm Springs! At the Roost Lounge, GED Magazine is marking three years of Ethel’s Bingo, a popular monthly event that has raised over $75,000 for local charities. The event has become a staple in the community, bringing people together for fun while supporting important causes.
Meanwhile, Oscars in downtown Palm Springs kicked off its 12th anniversary with a special edition of its world-famous tea dance. The event featured a performance by 70s hitmakers Honey Cone, along with surprise guests. Known for its legendary drag brunches and vibrant entertainment, Oscars has been a cultural landmark, hosting unforgettable moments with icons like Priscilla Presley and top musical acts.
Beyond the celebrations, Oscars is giving back by partnering with Well in the Desert to help feed the homeless, reinforcing its dedication to community service. The weekend’s events highlight the Valley’s commitment to both fun and philanthropy.
