College of the Desert Wins Big
College of the Desert is earning high praise for its communications work.
The school recently took home five awards from the Community College Public Relations Organization.
That includes three prestigious golds, recognizing excellence in storytelling and design.
A student-led microsite played a big role in the win, impressing judges with its creativity.
A visually compelling campus brochure also helped COD stand out.
These pieces were highlighted for their clarity, design, and meaningful community impact.
The awards reflect a larger strategy by the school to engage students and the public more effectively.
Officials say it’s about more than just good design—it’s about good communication.
They’ve been focusing on thoughtful messaging that keeps people informed and involved.
COD’s communication team says collaboration with students makes their work even stronger.
They see these awards as motivation to keep raising the bar.
College of the Desert continues to be a leader in connecting with its community.
