Palm Springs Mayor Ron DeHart to Host Community Meeting to Mark First 135 Days in Office
Palm Springs Mayor Ron DeHart is inviting the community to a special meeting this Saturday to discuss his first 135 days in office and hear directly from residents. The event will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center, where more than 300 attendees from across the Coachella Valley are expected.
Mayor DeHart says his primary focus since taking office has been prioritizing city projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and at a high standard of quality. He emphasizes that community feedback is essential to achieving those goals.
"This is a way to reach beyond neighborhood meetings or the city council or individual groups. It’s a way to be accessible to everybody," said Mayor DeHart.
During the meeting, residents will have the opportunity to ask questions and raise concerns on a wide range of topics, including the city’s navigation center, crime prevention efforts, infrastructure improvements, and parks. Mayor DeHart plans to provide updates on current projects and share insights into future growth opportunities for Palm Springs.
Funding for the event, approximately $4,000, is being covered by Mayor DeHart’s District 3 funds. If successful and affordable, he says he is open to hosting more community meetings in the future.
