Stagecoach 2025 Wraps with Big Crowds, Traffic Alerts, and a Huge Economic Boost for the Coachella Valley
The 2025 Stagecoach Country Music Festival wrapped up Sunday night, closing out a completely sold-out weekend that drew tens of thousands of country music fans to the Coachella Valley.
Sunday’s final lineup featured major acts including Luke Combs, the Goo Goo Dolls, Sammy Hagar, and the Backstreet Boys. The excitement brought heavy traffic into Indio all weekend — and now that festivalgoers are leaving, traffic around Indio is expected to remain slow.
Avenue 50 will stay closed until May 5 due to event-related activities. Meanwhile, drivers should anticipate delays along Washington Street, Jefferson Street, and Highway 111 near the festival grounds. For a smoother ride, the Indio Police Department suggests taking alternate routes like Jackson Street and Fred Waring Drive.

Beyond the road delays, Stagecoach delivered an enormous economic impact to the desert region. As NBC Palm Springs' Kai Beach reports, hotels like Hotel Paseo in Palm Desert were booked solid for the entire music festival season. "We're sold out for the whole weekend," said Hotel Paseo’s team, who also added extra staff and stocked up on supplies to meet the overwhelming demand.
Visitors flocked from all over, spending thousands on lodging, food, accessories, and entertainment. "It’s about the experience and the community," said one guest visiting from Orange County. "I'm a huge country music fan, and I'm so excited to be here."
Even major brands like Bud Light partnered with hotels and local businesses to tap into the festival market, while Hotel Paseo highlighted local art to appeal to guests looking for a vibrant Coachella Valley experience.
The City of Indio estimates that Coachella and Stagecoach together generate hundreds of millions of dollars annually for the local economy — a season that remains vital for businesses across the desert.

UPDATE: The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department have confirmed that one person has died and another two were injured after a home explosion on Ocotillo Rd in Twentynine Palms. Security camera video from a nearby neighbor captured the dramatic blast around 8:28 p.m., followed by a fire that brought a massive emergency response from fire and law enforcement agencies across the Morongo Basin. The burning structure has been confirmed as a residence at 6427 Ocotillo Ave. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation and the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Arson/Bomb Detail team is conducting the investigation.
