Cathedral Cove Shopping Center Nears Opening in Cathedral City with Starbucks, Chipotle, and More
A major milestone for Cathedral City is just weeks away as the much-anticipated Cathedral Cove Shopping Center prepares to open. Located at the busy intersection of Highway 111 and Date Palm Drive, the development marks a significant step in the ongoing revitalization of downtown Cathedral City.
The shopping center is scheduled to welcome its first tenants next month, with Starbucks and Chipotle both opening drive-thru locations. According to the developer, the project reflects the city’s steady growth and appeal. “Retail follows people, and as the Coachella Valley continues to grow, so does the demand for new shopping destinations,” the developer stated.
The center is just the beginning of what promises to be a thriving commercial hub. Following the initial ribbon cutting, additional businesses are slated to open, including a Circle K gas station, a Farmer John’s Diner, and a pizza brand that recently signed on to join the lineup.
Beyond the shopping center, the surrounding area is also undergoing transformation. Plans are in place for a housing project adjacent to the center, and new apartment complexes are already under construction nearby.
The Cathedral Cove Shopping Center represents a key part of Cathedral City’s strategy to enhance its downtown area and attract both residents and visitors. As the project nears completion, local officials and developers are optimistic that it will become a cornerstone of community and commerce in the years to come.
