Major Development Project Proposed Near Indio Festival Grounds
Big changes could be on the horizon for Indio.
The owner of the Empire Polo Club is proposing a bold new development just steps away from the iconic festival grounds.
Roughly 218 acres of land near the venue may soon be transformed into a vibrant mixed-use community.
Plans call for a combination of housing, dining, retail and possibly a new sports venue.
Developers say it could help meet growing demand in the East Valley.
It’s not just about building, it’s about creating a lifestyle hub.
County officials have already approved a land-use change to help move the project forward.
That decision clears a key hurdle for future construction.
If approved, the project could bring hundreds of new jobs to the region.
It also promises new entertainment options for both locals and visitors.
With festival tourism booming, the timing could be ideal.
For Indio, this may be the next big evolution.
