Pet of the Week: Meet Dandelion — A Tiny Acrobat with a Giant Purr! 🐾🌼
It’s time for another Pet of the Week, and this one is a heart-stealer! Valerie Kattz from Animal Samaritans stopped by with a special little guest: Dandelion, an adorable 9-week-old tabby kitten who’s equal parts cuddly and playful. With her tiny black nose spot and motor-like purr, Dandelion made herself right at home during her TV debut. While she was calm and snuggly in the studio, Valerie let us in on her true personality — a little gymnast in disguise who loves to leap, tumble, and entertain everyone in the shelter’s kitty room.
🐱 Kitten Season in Full Swing
Here in the Coachella Valley, kitten season never really ends — and Animal Samaritans is full of cats and kittens in need of loving homes. Valerie also introduced us to:
Oscar, a sweet orange kitten found near a dumpster at work. Dehydrated and scared, he was rescued, nursed back to health, and even fostered by the organization’s CEO!
Chomps & Cheeks, a pair of orange twins who are just as playful as they are cute.

Meet Kaydee, the newest visitor to the Big Bear Valley Eagle Nest! Kaydee has been making herself right at home — and on Sunday, she gave viewers some seriously adorable head tilts while checking out her reflection in the camera dome. Experts believe Kaydee is female based on her size compared with Shadow, who she’s recently been spotted hanging out with following the death of Shadow’s longtime partner, Jackie. Jackie and Shadow’s eaglets, Sandy and Luna, fledged a few weeks ago and are now out on their own. UPDATE: The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department have confirmed that one person has died and another two were injured after a home explosion on Ocotillo Rd in Twentynine Palms. Security camera video from a nearby neighbor captured the dramatic blast around 8:28 p.m., followed by a fire that brought a massive emergency response from fire and law enforcement agencies across the Morongo Basin. The burning structure has been confirmed as a residence at 6427 Ocotillo Ave. The cause of the explosion remains under investigation and the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Arson/Bomb Detail team is conducting the investigation.
