Cathedral City Seeks Artist Submissions for New Park Sculpture
Cathedral City has issued an open call for artists to design a sculpture for Esperanza Park's entryway roundabout, the city's newest public space.
The competition is open to artists throughout the United States, with submissions due by Thursday, November 6, 2025. Three finalists will each receive a $1,000 honorarium, and the selected artist will be awarded a $100,000 budget to create and install the sculpture.
The sculpture will be positioned at the roundabout entrance to Esperanza Park, located near the Dream Homes neighborhood off San Diego Drive. The park represents Cathedral City's latest addition to its public spaces.
