Find Food Bank to Open New 80,000 Sq. Ft. Food Security Campus in Indio with Workforce Development Focus
Next week, Find Food Bank will mark an important milestone in its mission to combat hunger and support community growth with the opening of its new 80,000-square-foot food security campus in Indio. The facility, set to open on September 26th at 9:00 a.m. on Citrus Avenue, will serve as a critical hub for both food distribution and workforce development.
In addition to an expansive, state-of-the-art warehouse designed to increase food storage and distribution capabilities, the new campus will also house a workforce development facility focused on empowering the local community. Organizers say the workforce development center will provide essential resources, including youth internship opportunities, financial literacy courses, and health and nutrition education. These initiatives aim to equip individuals, particularly young people, with the skills needed to build a strong future while addressing critical food insecurity challenges in the area.
