Big Bear Bald Eagle Jackie Lays First Egg of the Season
A familiar sign of the season has returned to Big Bear as beloved bald eagle Jackie laid her first egg of the year on Friday afternoon. The moment closely mirrors last season, when Jackie laid her first egg on January 22 before eventually raising two fledglings that successfully left the nest.
Wildlife watchers say the timing is right on track, with Jackie expected to lay one or two more eggs over the next several days. The nest, which has become a local favorite through live cameras and seasonal updates, once again has the community following along as the nesting season begins.
The arrival of the first egg signals the start of another hopeful chapter for the Big Bear bald eagle pair, as viewers eagerly await what could be another successful year for the growing eagle family.
