New Art Exhibit Honors Influential Women in the Coachella Valley
The Coachella Valley is known for celebrating creativity, and a new art exhibit is now shining a spotlight on the influential women who help shape the community.
The exhibit, titled “Portraits of Her,” is on display at Cicada Fine Arts Studio in Palm Springs. Created by local photographer Olga Trehub, the collection features powerful portraits and personal stories of remarkable women from across the valley, including business owners, bankers, and community leaders.
Trehub says the project was inspired by a desire to highlight women who often go unseen despite their significant contributions. Through her photography, she aims to show how women inspire others and bring beauty and strength to the world.
“I wanted to show how women are perfect, how they can inspire and bring something beautiful to this world,” she said.
The exhibit encourages viewers to reflect on the stories behind each portrait and to appreciate the women around them. Trehub hopes visitors will leave feeling more connected and inspired to support one another.
Women featured in the exhibition say being recognized in this way is both meaningful and empowering. Several expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be seen and celebrated through Trehub’s lens.
Visitors have described the exhibit as uplifting and inspirational, saying it adds to the valley’s vibrant cultural landscape and sense of community.
“Portraits of Her” is open to the public at Cicada Fine Arts Studio in Palm Springs. Community members are invited to stop by and learn more about the women who are helping shape the future of the region.
