PBR Returns to the Valley: Top Riders and Bulls Set for High-Stakes Showdown at Acrisure Arena
Grab your boots and cowboy hats — Professional Bull Riding is back in the Valley for a thrilling weekend of edge-of-your-seat action.
Inside Acrisure Arena, the dirt is set and the stage is ready for one of the most intense sporting events around. As part of the Pendleton Whiskey Velocity Tour, this stop marks number 23 on a nationwide run, bringing elite competition to Palm Springs for two nights only.
Fans can expect nonstop excitement from start to finish. According to event announcer Tyler Viles, the show delivers two hours of high-energy action featuring the top 35 bull riders on tour going head-to-head with some of the fiercest bulls on the West Coast.
“This is one of our favorite stops every year,” Tyler Viles said. “You’ve got some of the best fans here, and we’re bringing the very best riders and bulls together for a great show.”
Bull riding is widely considered one of the most dangerous sports in the world, and every ride proves why. Riders put it all on the line each time they enter the chute, aiming to stay mounted for eight seconds atop powerful, unpredictable bulls bred for bucking.
But the athletes aren’t just the riders — the bulls are stars in their own right. This weekend’s lineup includes top-tier animals from regional stock contractors, with names like Red Wave and Bison expected to challenge even the most seasoned competitors.
Beyond the competition, fan energy plays a major role in the experience. From opening ceremonies to the final ride, the event is designed to keep the crowd engaged.
“The fans are the reason we do this,” Tyler added. “It’s all about interaction and giving them the best show possible week in and week out.”
Whether you’re a longtime rodeo fan or just looking for something different to do this weekend, the PBR event at Acrisure Arena offers a unique mix of athleticism, danger, and entertainment.
Tickets are still available for both nights, giving Valley residents and visitors alike a chance to witness the action live.
