Dining Out for Life Is Today. Here's What You Need to Know.
Today, April 23rd, nearly 60 restaurants, bars, bakeries, and coffee shops across the Coachella Valley are donating a portion of their sales to DAP Health, and all you have to do is eat.
Dining Out for Life is back for its 22nd year, and DAP Health Chief Marketing Officer Steven Henke says the concept is simple: "You just go out and have coffee or a muffin or lunch or dinner at a participating location, and that location donates anywhere from 33 to 110 percent of their revenue that day." The food isn't marked up. There's no ticket. You just show up.
Every dollar raised stays local, funding HIV prevention and treatment for patients in Riverside and San Diego counties. The event runs all day, so there's still time to hit more than one spot. Participating restaurants are sorted by food type, time of day, or donation percentage at daphealth.org/dofl.
The Coachella Valley has ranked among the top three fundraising markets in North America for three consecutive years, raising nearly $240,000 last year from more than 20,000 diners.
