Augustine Casino Partners with Indio Based Saguaro Coffee to Launch New Grind Coffee Shop
COACHELLA, California — Augustine Casino has officially opened the doors to its newest internal culinary venture, Grind Coffee Shop, marking a significant operational shift toward celebrating locally sourced products. In a strategic move designed to deepen connections with area residents, the casino has partnered with Indio-based Saguaro Coffee to bring fresh, small-batch roasted coffee directly to the local gaming community.
The grand opening celebration gave visiting guests an exclusive opportunity to meet the artisan roasting team behind Saguaro Coffee, participate in promotional giveaways, and sample new custom menu items. Casino leadership explained that as a primarily locals-focused establishment, the food and beverage department is actively seeking opportunities to lean into the authentic flavors and businesses of the Coachella Valley.
A Personalized Departure from Major Chains
While casino management noted that Starbucks had served as an excellent corporate partner over the years, the conclusion of that franchise agreement opened up a unique creative opportunity to expand their internal food operations and put distinct, culturally relevant spins on the traditional beverage menu. By taking over independent operations, Grind Coffee Shop can now introduce unique, region-specific selections that were impossible to implement under a rigid corporate structure. New signature drinks heavily feature a specialized Spanish latte and a traditional, spiced cafe de olla latte.
The partnership also represents a major milestone for the expansion of Saguaro Coffee. Founders of the Indio roastery explained that one of their core company values is educating consumers on the diverse flavor profiles of freshly roasted coffee beans. Collaborating with a high-traffic hospitality venue like Augustine Casino grants the artisan roaster direct daily access to a broad, diverse customer demographic that might not otherwise visit their independent roasting facility.

Augustine Casino is situated off Avenue 54 in the city of Coachella. The newly renovated Grind Coffee Shop space is officially operational daily, welcoming both casino players and the general public from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
