Dinner with Patsi Raises More Than $1,000 for Cathedral City Youth and Seniors
Community members came together Wednesday evening for another Dinner with Patsi fundraiser in Cathedral City.
Held at Let's Have Lido restaurant, the monthly event partners with a local restaurant to raise money for a different nonprofit organization each month. This month's fundraiser benefited the Boys & Girls Club of Cathedral City while also supporting the Cathedral City Senior Center's food bank program.
The event drew residents, community leaders and local first responders, including members of the Cathedral City Police and Fire departments.
Cathedral City Acting Police Chief George Crum, who attended the Boys & Girls Club while growing up in Indio, reflected on the positive impact the organization had on his childhood and praised its continued service to local youth.
Organizers say the Boys & Girls Club provides a safe place for children to learn, grow and participate in enriching activities, making community support essential to its mission.
According to organizer Patsi, a preliminary count shows the fundraiser generated more than $1,000 to benefit the two organizations.
Dinner with Patsi is held on the third Wednesday of each month, bringing the community together to support local nonprofits through food, fellowship and charitable giving.
