Massive Explosion Captured on Video Before Twentynine Palms House Fire
A residential structure in Twentynine Palms was damaged by an explosion and intense fire Friday night, prompting a large response from fire and law enforcement agencies in the Morongo Basin.
The incident was reported at approximately 8:38 p.m. at a property in the 6400 block of Ocotillo Avenue, according to San Bernardino County Fire.
According to the Hi-Desert News, security footage from a nearby home captured an explosion followed by an intense fire.
The California Highway Patrol initially received a report of an explosion. A large emergency response followed, with fire crews and law enforcement agencies from throughout the Morongo Basin responding to the scene.
Witnesses identified the structure as a residential home.
The cause of the explosion and subsequent fire has not been determined. It was also not immediately known whether anyone was injured.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
